20 Amazing Hotels With a View of the Galata Tower

It’s no secret that Beyoglu is one of the best places to stay in Istanbul, no matter if you’re a first-time visitor or you’ve been here dozens of times. There’s something special about the nostalgic European atmosphere in this neighborhood, from the cobblestoned boulevard of Istiklal to the charming elegance of the sidewalk bistros and cozy cafes lining the streets. And, of course, we have one of the oldest tourist attractions in Beyoglu — none other than Galata Tower!

To truly get into the atmosphere of Beyoglu and make your trip unforgettable, why not book a hotel with a view of Galata Tower?

From ritzy 5 star hotels in Istanbul with a Galata view to budget-friendly alternatives, we’ve scoured all over the internet (and visited some of these places in-person!) to find the most phenomenal views. There’s no doubt that these are the best hotels in Istanbul with a Galata view! 🙂

Of course, all of the accommodations on this list are hotels near the Galata Tower, and many come with extra amenities like complimentary breakfast, rooftop lounges, amazing designs, and even a Turkish hamam that’s free for guests!

Galata Istanbul Hotel MGallery

Art deco lovers, this one’s for you! With cheerful yellow hues, geometrical prints, and flashy lights, it’s hard not to wake up with a smile when you’re a guest at Galata MGallery.

The hotel also has quite the history, as it’s set in one of four of Galata’s oldest hans (hotel-style inn) and located along Bankalar Caddesi (Banks street). In fact, this isn’t a coincidence: the Baltazzi family that constructed the building were famous bankers during the 19th century and were quite influential around Beyoglu. The building is also influential in its own right, as it used to house the La Turquie newspaper office before becoming a German bank, then an Italian bank after World War II, and finally a movie company office before being restored back to its original use (a hotel!)

The best views can be found by booking the Executive Galata King Suite, as you’ll have a spacious balcony that opens up to views of the tower in front of you. Other great options include the Superior King Room with Galata View (you’ll wake up with the tower outside your window!) and the Deluxe King Room with Galata View (a similar view but less space).

As a bonus, guests have complimentary access to the historic Turkish bath (hamam), and there is also an on-site restaurant and rooftop bar.

Galata Greenland Hotel

One of the newest hotels on the scene (it was opened in mid-2023!), Galata Greenland is a delightfully minimalist-meets-Scandinavian chic hotel thanks to its warm hues and clean lines.

Thanks to its status as a hidden gem, it’s also one of the best cheap hotels in Istanbul with a Galata view — prices start at around $50/night! The Large Double Room and the King Room have the best views.

Duo Galata

One of the more unique hotels around Galata, Duo Galata is a cute and funky boutique hotel thanks to its modern style, pops of color, and unique furniture (a barstool as a nightstand: genius or crazy? 😛) You’ll feel like you’ve been transported inside a Rolling Stones magazine!

Like the name says, the best room here is the Deluxe Room with Galata Tower View, which has a lovely side view of the top of Galata Tower. There’s also a rooftop bar (aptly-named Snog) that also has a view of the tower.

Anemon Galata Hotel

This hotel definitely has a prime location — the Galata Tower is literally right across the street, so it feels like you could reach out of your window and touch the tower if you book one of the upgraded rooms!

The rooms are decorated in a grandiose style from the 1920s, while the best views can be found from the Executive Suite Galata Kulesi Manzaralı

World House Boutique

A boutique hotel near Galata in every sense, World House is set in a 150-year old building and is definitely one of the most stylish hotels in Beyoglu! The boho decor and minimalist colors are calming respite from Istanbul’s busy atmosphere, while the small touches (like L’occitane toiletries and fresh flowers) add to the boutique atmosphere. As a bonus, there’s also a really great cafe on the ground floor — be sure to try the desserts. 😉

The best view can be found in the King Suite with Balcony, since the Galata Tower views open up right before your eyes! Other options with a Galata Tower view include Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and the Deluxe Room.

Louis Appartements

Whether it’s walking up in the morning to a gorgeous view of the Galata Tower or sitting on your private terrace and offering a toast to the tower at night (:drink emoji:), you’ll definitely be charmed by Istanbul’s timeless allure at this hotel!

While the room has simple decor and plenty of space, the real star of the Tower Suite is the spacious 15 sq. meter terrace that opens up to views of the Galata Tower and surrounding neighborhood! There’s also a comfortable seating area with a table to enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee or to hang out with friends. 🙂

Daru Sultan Hotels Galata

Kitschy? Yes. Delightful? Also yes!

Daru Sultan is an absolutely charming and kitsch hotel that goes all out with the decor. The hotel perfectly captures the opulence and luxury of the Ottoman empire thanks to its vibrant hues of gold, red, and blue, along with rich tapestries, marble bathrooms, and subtle motifs of that era. This was one of the first hotels we stayed in (long before we moved to Istanbul) and it still has a special place in my heart to this day. 🙂

All of the rooms in Daru Sultan have some sort of view (city, Boshpor, Golden Horn, or Galata Tower view) thanks to its strategic location. Like the name says, the Deluxe Room with Galata Tower View has the best view of this historic landmark, and it’s no wonder why Daru is one of the best design hotels with a Galata Tower view — you’ll definitely feel like a sultan here!

Meroddi Barnathan Hotel

For a touch of history, architecture, and Old World charm, Meroddi Barnathan is the historic hotel with a Galata view that you should book. In fact, this hotel is dedicated to preserving its historical heritage and even commissioned a book that chronicles the building’s previous owners and history (you can ask for a complimentary copy when you check in 🙂 ).

The rooms are a delight to behold, as they’re the perfect blend of historical Istanbul and modern comfort. The biggest surprise are the hand-painted Ottoman-era wall murals, which were a common sight in the palaces and summer houses of bygone sultans and pașas. There are also lovely Oriental-style mosaic tiles in the bathroom, antique radiators, and wood-paneled furniture.

The rooms with the best views of the Galata Tower are either the Suite with City View and the Deluxe Double Room. There are also rooms that have views of the Bosphorus, if you prefer to split your trip and have two amazing views in one. 😉

The hotel has an in-house restaurant and rooftop bar, and guests of the hotel get a 20% discount if they choose to dine there.

Exceptional Flat With Galata Tower View

If you’re looking for the best apartment with Galata Tower views, this is the place!

The apartment is especially perfect for families and large groups, as there are 3 rooms, 1 bathroom, a fully-stocked kitchen, and a wide balcony. Since it’s an apartment, you’ll get the added benefit of comfortable amenities like a fully-stocked kitchen, a washing machine, and plenty of space.

There are amazing views of the Galata Tower from practically every room, including the living room (that continues into a balcony), the dining room, and even one of the walk-in closets. 🙂

Galata Times Hotel

Dark, moody, and mysterious, the Galata Times Hotel is an excellent choice for those who prefer to stay in chic accommodations.

Even better, all of the Deluxe rooms and suites (Queen, King, and Family suites) have a view of the Galata Tower, so you can take your pick!

The hotel is perfectly-located, as it’s only a two-minute walk to the Galata Tower, the Pera Museum, and the Şișhane metro station; a 10-minute walk to Taksim Square, and has an in-house cafe/restaurant/bar.

Ecole St. Pierre

Tucked in a quiet side street yet just one block away from Galata, Ecole St. Pierre is a boutique hotel with views of Galata Tower that exudes elegance, charm, and a certain je ne sais quoi (in the best way possible!)

If you know French, you might have already caught onto the name and the history — the building was originally used as a French school that was founded in the mid-1800s, and continued teaching children until World War I broke out. With almost no students, the school was closed and the building was divided and rented out to various businesses. In the 1990s, one of the families who rented an office decided to purchase the building and renovate it into the Ecole St. Pierre hotel that stands today.

The hotel is very highly rated (it has a 4.9 out of 5 on Google Reviews) thanks to its personal approach and treating every guest like family, and it has also appeared in the Michelin guide and Forbes. One of the best examples of how much guests love it can be summed up in this review: “We have always loved Istanbul. we love it even more after a stay at Ecole St Pierre.”

In true French fashion, each of the rooms has a French balcony or a full-size balcony/terrace, as well as hardwood parquet floors, goose down pillows, and chic gifts (like Atelier Rebul toiletries). There are two on-site restaurants and a spacious garden courtyard.

The best room is none other than the Suite With Terrace, which opens up to a jaw-dropping view of the Galata Tower.  There are only 17 rooms in the entire hotel, so it’s best to book ahead if you want to stay here!

Ring Stone Hotels Bosphorus

Thanks to its location on a hill north of Galata, Ring Stone Bosphorus is one of the only hotels that has a birds eye view of Galata Tower. For the best views, be sure to book the Corner Deluxe Room, as you’ll get both Galata Tower and Bosphorus views!

The hotel is also popular thanks to its very convenient location: it’s located right at the beginning of Istiklal Avenue and is just a two-minute walk to Şișhane metro station, a one-minute walk to Beyoglu Tunel, and steps away from restaurants, shops, cafes, museums, and more.

Art Nouveau Galata

Art Nouveau Galata is one of the best budget hotels with a Galata Tower view — prices start at less than $50 per night and include the option to add breakfast.

The best rooms to book are either the Deluxe Suite with Balcony or the Superior Room with Balcony — both have balconies that open up to an almost full-size view of the Galata Tower!

The Pera Hotel

Cozy, local, and perfectly-located are just a few words to describe this modern boutique hotel in Beyoglu. In fact, we booked this hotel for some family members that were visiting and they loved it 🙂

The best views are from the Deluxe Room with Sea View — just be sure to write in the notes that you want a view of the Galata Tower (since some of the Deluxe Rooms actually face the sea).

The Wings Hotel

There’s no better way to describe this hotel than their logo: “The most beautiful views of Istanbul under your wings.”

Situated in the neighboring area of Karakoy, The Wings hotel has a very tight-knit history with the Galata Tower. Its name was inspired by Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi, the first man who attempted to fly across the Bosphorus with his homemade wings. 🙂

The Junior Suite has a partial view of Galata Tower, plus nice bonuses like a jetted tub (perfect after a long day of sightseeing!) and a super comfortable extra-large bed.
